Colour Inspiration: Mint and Grey

Today's colour post features one of my all time favourite hues, which funnily enough, is mint :) I'm also very partial to grey and have recently painted my living room walls with Karen Walker's Fuscous Grey for Resene. In my opinion, mint and grey are a gorgeous combination. I'm often inclined to throw in a dose of peach or pale pink for good measure. What do you think of mint and grey? Would love to hear your thoughts. Enjoy your weekend. talia x
I love this industrial pendant. It has just the right amount of rust mixed with the glossy mint colour to add a perfect touch of industrial chic to a room. I am also taken with the colour and shape of this chair at the head of the table. Adding one or two coloured chairs to a neutral colour scheme is a great way to add some interest and colour to a dining space.

The herringbone rug above is from
Urban Outfitters and is a great easy pattern to place anywhere from a hallway to a bedroom. I have plenty of Urban Outfitter rugs as they're very well priced, ship to New Zealand and come in a variety of patterns and sizes. This herringbone rug is no longer available but a good alternative is this chevron hallway runner that conveniently comes in either grey or mint.

The minty/turquoise coloured rectangular box, lotus bowls and antlers are all from MintSix

You can't go wrong with Converse, my wardrobe is never without a trusty pair of cons and this minty blue hue would be great for summer.

Another bikini this week, this one I've been obsessed with for such a long time.
Mara Hoffman's swimwear and clothing range is amazing and there are currently quite a few items from her recent collection on my wishlist.

The mint Smeg is such a winner. I would happily have one in any colour but this is most definitely a favourite.

This 'For Like Ever' poster has been doing the rounds in interiors magazines and online for quite a few years now. It's available in pink/red, bright yellow, gold, spring green, flouro pink and grey
here.

It may be the year that these gorgeous Beau Coops boots make it onto my feet. I nearly purchased the black leather with gold studs a couple of years ago and have regretted not getting them ever since. The grey suede version are looking pretty promising for this year, if I can find them here?! You can pre-order the black at Superette.
Empirical Style are an online shop based in my old home town of Melbourne. They have a range of vintage wares as well a colourful and unique range of lights. I love their small cage lights that come in a range of colours and this mint coloured one above, is a winner. They also ship worldwide, so go nuts!

Oh mabel is another favourite of mine. They stock a gorgeous range of organic bedlinen which is all printed by hand. Their "Ziggy Zaggy Quilted Doona" has my name written all over it.

Would happily purchase everything in this collage for my girls. The striped pants above from Bangbang Copenhagen are so cool and who wouldn't want a pair of pants called 'bangbang lucky??' Brilliant.

The gold and sequin bomber from
Seed is also seriously amazing and once again, I want one! Seed now ships internationally and there is plenty of great gear for babies, toddlers, kids and a great collection for women.

Another brand of children's clothing that I adore is
D'Arthur à Zoé. They are based in Bordeaux, France and their clothes have a chic but relaxed look with a little "cool" factor. The grey oversized sweater with black ribbon is available in their current collection.
