Paint | Five Ways

In my job I spend a fair amount of time thinking about paint and in particular, creative ways to use it.

It's a relatively easy and affordable way to freshen up any space and you can pretty much do whatever you like with it, the options are endless.

Painting just one wall in a room is still a popular choice and a good way to add colour, interest and contrast to a space.

A great way to make the television blend into the wall.

I'm a big fan of using floating shelves that are the same colour as the wall.
A great way to draw the eye to a selection of artworks

The idea of painting only half a wall, especially the bottom half is definitely one that appeals to me! Again, this is a great way to add just a small splash of colour and contrast.

A good alternative to doing a standard feature wall, painting the ceiling can add drama and emphasise architectural features or detailing.

An easy way to make a feature of your window frames and internal doors.

Painting the inside of a door with a pop of colour is an subtle way to add some colour and also an unexpected surprise for visitors.

This is often used as a way to emphasise a particular area of a room. It's also great for behind shelving, desks and commonly seen in children's bedrooms.

I hope you been inspired to get the paintbrush out and transform a space in your home.
